Glare Intensified32 viewsDiinzumo created this excellent example of the gunner in July of 2013. "Draw our favorite", I'd suggested. A short while later she presented this. It's breathtaking how well she nails him.1 commentsKatharineDec 01, 2013

Tribal Bird127 viewsThis started off as a pencil sketch that I then inked, scanned, and rerendered in Adobe Illustrator. I took the file to a custom sign shop and had them create 10-inch window decals in white, one of which is on the back window of my 2K2 Maxima. In this instance, I played around with the color gradient feature of Illustrator. No, you may not use it as a tattoo template. ;-)2 commentsKatharineJan 06, 2008

Bird Scramble APA Issue #45 Cover91 viewsFrom a pen and ink re-rendering I did of a schematic shot of the Gatchaman OVA's G-1, this is the final product of the BS #45 cover, taken from my own backcopy. The original, sadly, has been lost.KatharineJan 01, 2008

Bird Scramble APA Issue #83 Cover101 viewsSomeone once sent me photos of fighter jets with mid-air "condensation cones" surrounding their fuselage- cloud formations that sometimes occur when jets fly at or near the speed of sound. Most of them featured these perfectly formed circular dome shapes. One, however, showed a jet blasting out from this gloriously violent-looking cloud, and gave me the inspiration for the cover.
