Bird Scramble APA Issue #83 Cover91 viewsSomeone once sent me photos of fighter jets with mid-air "condensation cones" surrounding their fuselage- cloud formations that sometimes occur when jets fly at or near the speed of sound. Most of them featured these perfectly formed circular dome shapes. One, however, showed a jet blasting out from this gloriously violent-looking cloud, and gave me the inspiration for the cover.
