You have written a very touching reflection here from Ken's POV here. I love how you got into Ken's head and also how he is thinking of Jun as a mother, hopefully the mother of HIS children. ;)
Does this story go with your Mother's Day picture?
Author's Response: Thanks! In fact, I find it more easy to speak Ken's mind than that of the others ... I think it's because our characters match in some way or another! As to my Mother's Day picture, yes ... this story does go with it! To tell the truth, I had already started sketching the picture for the occasion of Mother's Day before I've written this ficlet, which had been roaming in my mind for some time. A chance to write it up for a competition at Gatchamania then triggered me to do so! My previous plan had been that of incorporating it in a longer fic but, due to lack of time and to the given occasion of writing it as a short story in itself, I decided to share it as it is.

This is such a sad and poignant insight into Ken's thought. I love the way you have exposed and explained his grief, in a way that is touching and approachable, and not overly gushy.
You really know how to get into the Eagle's head!
Author's Response: Thanks a lot! I do admit to have shared some of my own feelings, related to the subject, too when writing it! What can I say ... Eagle minds think alike!
