I can't beleive I have never left a review for this! I love this series. The characters are strong yet have clear weaknesses and emotional responses to things that occur to them and others around them. Other then the over use of "whipcorded" I have no issues. I think that stands out only because it it not often used in general. Nonetheless the description fits and I have no idea what I would use instead. :) hmmm....wonder if defiance is almost done. Keep up the great work!

I read this years ago and loved it, but I'm wondering about the reference to a Yamashina incident. Is it referring to an actual episode or just something you added to the story?

The "Yamashina Incident" is a reference to Gatchaman episode #65, "Super BEM: Synthetic Iron Beast". In it, a scientist named Dr. Yamashina apparently has his brain stolen to give artificial intelligence to a very gross-looking half-robotic half-organic mutant mecha. Thanks very much for your review!
