I enjoyed your portrayal of Joe. Some of the dialogue between Joe and Ken really flowed well. I liked the detail of the macaroni cards and how Joe kept every lousy gift that Ken ever gave him. :)

I can see this a following on from Broken Chld, explaining further why Ken does not feel good about himself.
And with that hurt Ken in mind, once you mentioned it, I could really see him loving plushies. They would provide a kind of unconditional love and warmth he felt he was not getting from a real person.
