Loved this rewrite!  So much better than the ep!

You explained why Princess didn't seem to be up to snuff in that one, and why Mark ditched the whip.  *And* you made Zark useful - bravo!

Author's Response: Thank you for your review, kittenmommy :)  The episode was full of "what the -?" moments which needed ironing out, but my favourite part was where the technician gets to switch Zark OFF.

Great job in filling in the blanks! I really like how you took that bit of talk between Jason and Princess when they first arrived in the base and created a backstory to explain it. Sal already mentioned it, but I will anyway: nice how you 'fixed' the part of Mark throwing out the whip.

This is a nice episode from the point of view that this is a different villian than Spectra (although they still have their hands in things). I like how you filled in details on who/what Urgos is and their culture. Great job in making a 'silly' episode make sense and have some depth!

Author's Response: Thanks, Julieann. With Urgos et al I find the politics rather intriguing. I mean, we know why Spectra is invading: their planet is dying and they consider Earth the most viable piece of alternative real estate, but why do Urgos, Tramulus and all those other bit players want to join the party in competition with Spectra? The question keeps me scribbling. As do reviews!

Hey Nancy! Great rewrite! Especially the part on the whip, I always hated that Mark threw that thing in the ocean (wth?!) Very sad backstory for Captain Doom, and mysterious as well. The backstory for Princess was good, too. Nice work!

Author's Response: Thanks, Sal.  Credit must go to Catherine for coming up with the idea about the tip of the whip.  That part where Mark throws the whip away was always the bit that did my head in, too.  That and the part about the asteroid, oh, and the part about the team volunteering for the mission, and the part about the air show, and the part... actually, just about the whole episode!
