I love this story!  You have a gift for showing the human side of the team, and I look forward to reading your stories again and again.

Author's Response: Thank you! :-) If you're interested, I have a Gatchamanesque novel out right now: http://tinyurl.com/jlebak

Another question. If the Chief adopted jason and mark when they were both eight and then adopted princess two years after that, then shouldn't she have been about eight rather than ten years old at the time?

Just finished re-reading Scavengers for the umpteenth time. One of, if not the best character pieces there is. My only criticism would be that ISO doesn't seem  particularly  international, all the people who work there seem to be wasp americans. Also what was Princess' original name? In chapter 9 it's Harrison and in chapter 20 it's Hastings.

I originally read this at the old archive.  It took me awhile to get through it, but I was so riveted to this story, I had to keep reading it through the end.

This is probably the most well-written piece of fan fiction (, I have ever had the pleasure of reading in any fandom.   Your characterizations are so believeable and so true and I really liked how to were able to change some things from canon and make it seem as if they were canon (i.e. set in New York City).

This is so awesome!  You truly know how to write both dialogue, emotion, and action.  I don't normally read long pieces, but how could I resist when I enjoyed your shorter stories so much?  Thank you for sharingy our gift.

Wow!  I read parts of Scavengers a few years back but I don’t recall finishing it.  I did this time.  Impressive.  Your description of depression is so spot on it is scary.  Take it from someone who has been on both sides.  My only quibble with the story is the section where you have Jason racing at Michigan International Speedway in October on a Saturday in a Winston Cup race.  The Fall Cup races are usually farther south, like Martinsville, VA or Charlotte, NC, and they are usually on Sundays.  But only a NASCAR fan really would notice, so it doesn’t detract from the story.  This is a good story, and I look forward to reading more of the series.
