It's so embarrassing to see how many stories I enjoyed but didn't review! I really like this treatment of Joe's arrival in Nambu's life. You've let him be a kid and build a real connection with Kozaburo, which is something you can see in the show. Joe's very protective of the Dr. His and Ken's meeting is cute, too, and it makes sense that Joe would be confused by the immediate attack! Looking forward to more. :)

You're really cutting to the heart of each character in these. :)

Ooh, I love what you've done with this, a nice smooth origin and progression story. There's something karmic about the Luminous One coming from an Earth human's out of control AI.

Author's Response: Thank you. All I did was take the original series plan and run with it. (I did presume that Joe's death was part of the other changes the producers made to their idea.)

I very much enjoyed this story, and am glad Mark and Jason finally had their go. :) I liked how you handled that.

You definitely made Kentaro a bit more sympathetic, while still sticking to exactly what happened in canon. :)

I just re-read all five of these. They're a great portrait of some of the differences between the teams, and a great way to give a group of teenagers a wake-up call that this isn't going to be a cake walk.

Aw, I really enjoyed this one. I've always like that the original Jun wasn't drawn in some tarted-up fashion (that's something that really cheesed me off about the OAVs), yet she was still beautiful. Living in a man's world and being "like a sister" to 4 guys and "like a daughter" to a man with no guiding female influence has got to be hell. Especially when she's in love with one of the guys and he's as thick in the head as Ken. :)

Author's Response: Definitely! The Swan is a classy lady... but then again, we all have insecurities, particularly when the person we're interested in doesn't show interest back. It's only natural to ask 'What's wrong with me?'... and in this fic, there's a potential answer smacking Jun in the face almost 24 hours a day.

Reading this through a second time was such a kick, seeing all the little hints as Joe digs himself deeper into Nick thinking he's gay. :) And I think Joe's POV was perfect ... otherwise it'd be mostly Jun huffing about and/or Ken panicking!
