This reads *exactly* like a BotP episode!  Love it!  :)

Author's Response: That was my intention. I'm glad it worked for you!

You've written the BOTP Christmas Special that should have been, and so authentically!  The tree in the ready room, that oh-so-conveniently conceals on-screen Susan is a great touch.  There's even a good moral lesson here -"It's not nice to take things," but I suppose the kids who lacked self-restraint and opened their gifts before midnight sort of did Erat a favour by revealing Taranto and Zoltar's scheme to G-Force before the attack began.  Thank goodness no one was hurt or -gasp!- killed!

Author's Response:

No one would ever be killed... hurt...? Well, perhaps. But not seriously. They'd recover as quickly as Jason did when he had his double vision.

And yes, the placement of the tree was not an accident... ;-)

Great adaptation, TJ! You've got the pacing perfect, right down to the ickiness with Zark and Susan at the end.

Author's Response: Ickiness? Come on, it's *holiday* ickiness.... so it's okay, isn't it? ;-)

This is the best BOTP adaptation ever ... you've abided by the rules, but you've managed to give us a more refined episode than is usually expected!  You've also done a wonderful job with the screenshots ... the addition of the Christmas tree is brilliant, and I love the story of the mistletoe!  You've made me chuckle!  Great conversations between Zark, Susan, and Rover ... though suiting the characters, there's nothing intolerable!

Author's Response: Well if you can tolerate Zark, Susan and Rover, I guess that's a compliment, LOL! Yeah, the Christmas tree was fun... I figured we'd have to add *something* festive to the scene!

I would have made the mistake of trying to work in the rich kids' nastiness, so that the boys would have reason to be all vengeful and superhero-y.

If BotP had been into seasonal episodes, this could have been it.

You do know that 'Okra' is a type of food (popular in the American South), and did you intend to name the villain 'Dander'? I kept thinking of 'dandruff.'

Author's Response:

Definitely! I chose all of the BOTP names (except for the boys) so that they could be something silly, but still not entirely 'Earth-like'... at least from an American/Canadian kid's viewpoint. ;-)  Those names would have been exotic to me when I was growing up and watching BOTP, but silly enough to perhaps get a chuckle out of the adults.

Vengeful? On BOTP? No... they don't go together... *grin*

Oh my gosh! This was a perfect rendition of BOTP! You had the Zark/Susan/Rover babble down perfectly! And of course, the presents contained sleeping gas! The screen shots placed throughout really gave it the feel of a BOTP ep! I could hear the music in the background as I read! Wonderful work, TJ!

Author's Response: If you could imagine the episode airing as you read, that's the best compliment I can get. Thank you! *blushing*
